Ibrahim Masari Joins African Leaders at 16th African Business Leadership Awards in London

The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Political and Other Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Masari, among others, attended the 16th African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA), held recently at Chatham House, Westminster, London, United Kingdom.


The prestigious event brought together an eminent assembly of African Heads of State and Government, former Heads of State, policymakers, business leaders, and development partners to deliberate on issues of leadership, economic transformation, investment, and sustainable development across the continent.

Among the distinguished participants were Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, former President of the United Republic of Tanzania and Chairman of the African Leadership Organisation (ALO) Global Advisory Board; Alhaji Mai Mala Buni, Executive Governor of Yobe State, Nigeria; Senator Hope Uzodimma, Executive Governor of Imo State, Nigeria; and Dr. George Agyekum Donkor, President and Chairman of the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID).

Also in attendance were Hon. Sheku Ahmed Fantamadi Bangura, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Sierra Leone; Professor Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye, Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC); Professor Shuaibu Shehu Aliyu, Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF); Professor Paul Mapfumo, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Zimbabwe; and Mr. Henry Saamoi, Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone.

The event also attracted a wide range of senior government officials, captains of industry, and development partners from across Africa and beyond, all gathering to promote dialogue on good governance, innovation, investment, regional integration, and sustainable economic development.

The 16th African Business Leadership Awards provided a strategic platform for strengthening partnerships among African leaders and the international community in advancing the continent’s shared vision for prosperity and inclusive growth.

Masari’s presence at the event underscores Nigeria’s commitment to engaging with key stakeholders across the continent and the global community in driving economic transformation and sustainable development.

His participation further reinforces the administration’s dedication to fostering stronger international partnerships and promoting African leadership on the global stage.
