Katsina Governor’s Security, Political Standing Raise Questions Amid Villa Influence Speculation

… Reports of ADC withdrawal, PCC exclusion, and police replacements fuel concerns over Governor Radda’s relationship with Tinubu’s inner circle

By Concerned APC Katsina Member

Governor Dikko Radda’s loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has never been in doubt, with his administration consistently supporting the President and aligning with the Federal Government’s reform agenda. However, recent developments and allegations are raising legitimate concerns in Katsina, as reports surface about the Governor’s alleged marginalisation within the ruling party’s political structure.

According to reports and speculation, the Governor’s Aide-de-Camp (ADC) and Chief Security Officer (CSO) may have been withdrawn, while Governor Radda has reportedly been excluded from the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC). There are also allegations of plans to replace key police officers in Katsina with officers perceived to be loyal to Ibrahim Masari, a political figure whose influence at the Villa has come under growing scrutiny. None of these allegations should be treated as established fact without official confirmation. However, taken together, they raise serious questions that deserve clarity.

The concerns come at a time when Governor Radda has demonstrated consistent loyalty to President Tinubu. Observers note that the security of a sitting Governor should never become entangled in political calculations, and security arrangements must remain professional, institutional, and above partisan interests. The reports have sparked debate among political watchers about the nature and extent of Masari’s influence at the Villa and whether it is affecting governance in Katsina State.

Governor Radda has demonstrated loyalty to President Tinubu, and Katsina deserves reassurance that this loyalty is reciprocated with institutional respect, fairness, and a commitment to protecting the Governor and the people he leads.
