TROOPS, ONSA TACTICAL TEAM ON CLEARANCE OPERATIONS NEUTALIZE 13 BANDITS, RESCUE 21 VICTIMS IN PLATEAU

The sustained military offensive against armed groups in Plateau State has recorded a major breakthrough on Thursday 9th April 2026, as troops in collaboration with the ONSA Tactical Team neutralised 13 suspected bandits during coordinated operations in Wase and Kanam Local Government Areas. Security sources disclosed that the joint forces, operating under Operation Wutan Daji, intensified clearance operations on April 9 across identified terrorist corridors, including Daba and Seri villages.

In a related operation, the combined troops and ONSA Tactical Team launched a decisive assault on criminal hideouts within Daji Madam Forest, resulting in the rescue of 21 kidnapped victims and the dismantling of several bandit camps. Among the camps cleared was a key enclave linked to notorious bandit leader Auta Kachalla, significantly disrupting the group’s operational network. Weapons and other logistics items were also recovered during the operations, further degrading the capabilities of the armed groups in the area.
