Ekrem İmamoğlu is Istanbul Mayor and a CHP presidential candidate.

These arrests attack democratic freedoms, political expression, and the rule of law.

The world must condemn these actions.

These detentions are part of a systematic campaign to silence dissent and weaken democracy.

We demand the immediate, unconditional release of all detained.

APC-Africa stands with Necati Özkan, Ekrem İmamoğlu, and all targeted for exercising their rights.

We urge the African Union, UN, regional bodies, and democratic governments to hold Türkiye accountable.

Silence enables repression.
Democracy flourishes on political diversity, fair elections, and protecting opposition voices.
