Special Adviser on Media to the former Vice President Mr. Laolu Akande said this during a friendly parley with Alh. Abiola Wasiu a Chieftain of All Progressive Congress and the Country Director, Nigeria Diaspora for Asiwaju NDA Alhaji Abiola Wasiu and former presidential spokesman Laolu Akande met at an event in Abuja. Both leaders discussed issues relating to the policies and reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. While expressing divergence on common issues, both agreed that it is in the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians that President Tinubu succeeds in his efforts to reposition and redirect the country economy of the country.

Mr. Laolu advised that measures taken during the short period of Prof. Osibanjo acting presidency can be revisited and reapplied to stabilize the naira and improve its value. He opined that President Tinubu must check the activities of some state governors who act in a way that put tremendous pressure on Naira.

Alhaji Abiola advised the former presidential spokesman to play more constructive roles in the present government. He further assured Alh. Abiola that the former Vice President remains a loyal and committed member of All Progressives Congress APC and stands ready to deliver on tasks and responsibilities assign to him by both the party and the government
