The Headquarter of Operation HADIN KAI in a press statement issued on Friday has dismissed as false and misleading reports claiming that 17 soldiers, were killed during the Benisheikh incident, clarifying that only 4 personnel (2 officers including the Brigade Commander and 2 soldiers) lost paid the supreme price in defence of the nation.

The operation also refuted claims of equipment failure, stating the Brigade Commander was operating from an MRAP vehicle that was only temporarily immobilised during active combat. It further noted that circulating images and videos are unrelated and deliberately used to spread misinformation.
The HQ OPHK reaffirmed its professionalism and urged the public to rely on official sources while avoiding the spread of unverified information.
