TIFF has added a Special Event screening of Zack Snyder’s The Last Photograph to its ’26 lineup, with the film set to have its World Premiere on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 6:30pm in the newly inaugurated John Bassett Theatre at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Snyder, the visionary director behind 300, Watchmen, and Man of Steel, returns with a gritty action thriller starring Stuart Martin and Fra Free. The film follows an ex-DEA agent on a revenge mission deep in a South American jungle, where the battle against external threats mirrors an internal struggle with his own demons.

The screening marks a significant moment for TIFF, as the John Bassett Theatre hosts its first major premiere since opening as the Festival’s new screening venue. The addition of Snyder’s film to the already star-studded lineup underscores TIFF’s commitment to bringing the most anticipated films of the year to Toronto audiences.

Public tickets for The Last Photograph go on sale today at 12pm ET. The 51st Toronto International Film Festival, presented by Rogers, runs September 10–20, 2026.
