After a few weeks of political consultations and physical recuperation in the United Kingdom and Europe, Africa’s most popular and accepted political leader from Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu returns to Nigeria amidst fanfare and celebrations. In a move that was totally ingenious and disruptive, supporters caught wind of his arrival and they made it colourful in no time. Asiwaju, who landed Friday evening arrived at the airport to pomp and pageantry from a multitude of supporters and fans who cheered him up.

His office soon released a statement to clarify the main purpose of his visit and the intricacies that came with it. This was necessary as there were a lot of unverified statements already circulating through the airwaves. The statement read in part;

“… During his trip abroad, he underwent surgery on his right knee as well as rigorous post-surgery physiotherapy on the said knee.
Contrary to unfounded rumor, he underwent no other surgical procedures and contemplates none in the future.
His recuperation has been without complication and ahead of the schedule by the attending surgeon.
He has returned fully healed from the knee surgery and fully committed to doing his modest part of advancing the cause of progressive democratic good governance throughout our beloved nation.”

Asiwaju who has had a lot of political bigwigs visit him while he was in the UK was full of thanks not only to those who came around to see him but also those who couldn’t for one reason or the other do so. He also thanked his numerous friends, associates, supporters, and well-wishers who have been with him in prayers and supplications to Allah.
