So, yesterday, Betara had his declaration. Wase and Doguwa, who are also aspirants for Speaker, were there. The three of them all spoke along the same line: that the House should be allowed to produce its own leaders. They also alluded to the fact that they have been closer to Gbajabiamila than Abbas Tajudeen, yet, the outgoing Speaker did not find them worthy of endorsement.

Betara specifically said Gbaja brought someone that isn’t known to members to succeed him as Speaker.

Now, Wase, Doguwa and Betara visited governors, APC NWC members and the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at different intervals, seeking for their blessings and possible endorsement.

So, all of them were waiting for Tinubu, Gbajabiamila and the governors to endorse them, yet they were talking about the independence of the House.

Assuming it is one of them that was endorsed by the President-elect and the APC, what would he have said?
