In a fresh move to give further boost to accessing tertiary education, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has approved the establishment of another campus (annex) of Kaduna State College of Education Gidan Waya, in Hunkuyi, Kudan Local Government respectively.
Professor Sani Bello, the State’s Commissioner Of Education revealed this yesterday while answering questions from newsmen on the latest developments in the sector.
The development is coming on the heels of massive slash in school fees across all the State-run tertiary institutions, notably the Kaduna State University (KASU).
Meanwhile there has been a game of jubilation across the State following the downward review in school fees in the State and the latest approval for establishment of three campus annex in the State. Student Union leaders hailed the Governor for what they variously termed as “masses-friendly governor and his highly proactive education commissioner, Professor Sani Bello, Mainan Zazzau”.
In another development, the Governor has also approved the disbursement of N205 million to to the Kaduna State Scholarship Board, to enhance the activities of the agency.
