Team of ABU students wins global student project contest in Romania
Another team of students from Ahmadu Bello
University has won the International Student Project
Contest at the University of Life Sciences, King Mihai 1, Timisoara, Romania.
They emerged as winners of the global competition during the 6th edition of the contest in the fields of Biology and Agricultural Sciences.
The feat is coming shortly after the University’s ICT
Team won the Innovation Grand Prize at the Huawei
ICT Competition 2022-2023 final held in Shenzhen in
China last Saturday.
At this year’s Erasmus Competition in Romania, the ABU students presented the topic “Biochar as a Way of Ameliorating, Conserving Soils and Source of Renewable Energy in the Section of Management and Conservation of Soil Resources”, and won.
Abubakar Ahmed, Aminu Abubakar Sadiq, and Zakariya Saminu all from the Faculty of Agriculture, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria represented the institution at the competition.
Similarly, another team of students from the University won a European Quiz held in Timisoara.
The students, who participated in the quiz are Abubakar Ahmed, from the Department of Agronomy; Mukhtar Sulaiman, Department of Biochemistry; Aisha Abdulgadeer Muhammad from, the Department of Animal Science, and Nana Hauwa Moru, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
