… CP Olatunji Disu Leads Inquiry to Uphold Justice Amid Controversy
In a recent development within the Federal Capital Territory, the FCT Police Command has launched a full-scale investigation into an alleged assault involving Hon. Alexander Ikwegh, representative for the Aba North and South Federal Constituency in Abia State, and a Bolt driver, Mr. Stephen Abuwatseya.
The incident, which was reported at the Maitama Divisional Headquarters, unfolded on October 27, 2024, at Hon. Ikwegh’s residence on Zamfara Crescent, Maitama, Abuja.
According to preliminary police reports, the altercation began when Mr. Abuwatseya arrived at Hon. Ikwegh’s residence to deliver a package.
A disagreement reportedly arose regarding the method of delivery, quickly escalating into a confrontation. During the exchange, it is alleged that Hon. Ikwegh physically assaulted Mr. Abuwatseya by slapping him, a claim currently under active investigation.
