The Manufacturer Association of Nigeria in its drive to work with individual manufacturers and increase their capacity; The group act as a platform that manufacturers use to influence economic, industrial, labour and social policy within the Nigerian populace as part of its mandate to act as a platform that manufacturers use to influence economic, industrial and labour policy within Nigeria has decided to roll out its CODET scheme.
With the fulcrum on collaboration, the Committee of Dean’s of Engineering and Technology (CODET) of Nigerian Universities is an initiative that aims to harmonize players in the industry space, academia and those who play in the governmental, administrative space. The Committee has Engineering Dean’s from Universities in the 5 sub-regions of Africa on board. The organised private sector, handpicked company facilitators who will be giving a helping hand to the academia where there will be constructive engagement within the workforce will also be on the committee.
As part of this present MAN CODET collaboration, BlueCamel has been selected as one of the partners in the private sector space. BlueCamel is expected not to only provide a resource person to teach at seminars and workshops as part of the collaboration, the organization will also throw its door open to student interns in the right discipline.
The goal of the collaboration is to Provide guidance in making engineering training practical and
industry compliant
while facilitating access to the Organised Private Sector such as
Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Nigerian Association
of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture
(NACCIMA), Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) amongst others.
While accepting the invitation to work with the CODET, the Blue Camel Chief Operating Officer who chaired the occasion, Stephen Ejoka lauded the initiative and enthused, “at Blue Camel Energy Limited we are determined to close the industry-academia gap within the country.”
